Are you an experienced, customer-focused Director of Product Management that can own the consumer experience of the multi-channel Shockwave.com website? Have you defined and driven overall site strategy, determining feature sets and revenue opportunities with a leading entertainment or game company? Have you analyzed the external marketplace, customers, and competitors and driven the business with vision and enthusiasm to success?

What you get to do every day:

• Own the entire product lifecycle for all aspects of Shockwave.com – from strategic direction through metrics to product definition to execution
• Lead strategic analysis on new opportunities for product development staying abreast of industry, competitive and consumer trends
• Define and set product roadmap and communicate your vision and priorities to team
• Partner with marketing, production and engineering groups to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery and evolution
• Develop detailed project specifications, based on business requirements, company capabilities, and consumer research
• Determine metrics of success for each product and follow-up with post-mortem analysis of product successes and misses
• Act as spokesperson with key stakeholders in the business to provide regular status reports and develop informed strategies
• Align with senior management teams to identify new business opportunities, define success metrics and ensure successful rollout of same
• Soft manage P&L for Shockwave’s premium businesses

Your Key Metrics:
• Engagement: Repeat Visitors, Page views, Time on Site, Social Interaction
• Revenue: Subscription retention, High-level revenue targets, average revenue per user
• Development: Quality, on-time delivery of product initiatives

What you bring to the role in your professional toolkit:

• BS/BA/MBA or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years, at least 2 as a Director driving the vision of a high volume consumer facing internet product line
• Hands-on experience in the development of product roadmaps, product plans, detailed specifications, project plans, status reports, and budgets
• Proven strength in definition and translation of web and market analytics from data to implementation of new features
• Creative sensibility and a passion for games, the Web and user experience
• Able to turn audiences into revenue goals by meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Some exposure to web analytics systems and syndicated services preferably Omniture SiteCatalyst
• Dynamic, intuitive, able to deal diplomatically with challenges in your work with solid forethought and future thinking about how to improve products and the business
• Experience in the online/social games or entertainment industries a plus
• A driven leader with an entrepreneurial spirit – the vision to define a forward-looking path and the tactical skills to execute on it
• Demonstrated success having lead cross-functional teams in complex projects– ie: development, creative, production, and editorial in the delivery of projects timely and in budget and with an attention to detail
• Comprehensive understanding of the latest Internet technologies and how they can be used to create a better front-end consumer experience
• Leadership skills and the tenacity to exceed expectations always
• Mentorship capabilities and the want to nurture staff to constant achievement
• Excellent decision making skills with a knack for identifying, prioritizing, and articulating the highest impact initiatives
• Able to meet deliverables and drive your work to completion within specified timelines
• Great communication skills both written and verbal
• Able to present ideas and solutions to many audiences including senior management
• Can work cross functionally in many areas without being constrained by your job function
• Collaborative, upbeat work ethic where you can take ownership and have fun
