Job Description - Channel Marketing Director

The Channel Marketing Director, will develop and drive Retail brand marketing strategies that inspire and connect consumers to the brand/product at retail both domestically; and in partnership with the International marketing team, will drive such strategies on a global level.
This role will report into the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will directly oversee account-marketing programs that drive incremental revenue, profitability and brand impact for Majesco Entertainment and our retail partners in North America.
The successful candidate will serve as the liaison between the Sales and Marketing team for execution in NA and will communicate with the International Marketing Team to potentially integrate programs internationally. He/she will collaborate with respective departments within Majesco to ensure the Retail Marketing strategies are aligned with the business goals and the Marketing plan(s). Delivering the right products and materials, on time, within budget, and with the desired results (based on pre-determined goals) are fundamental requirements for the role.

This is a hands-on role with the responsibility of evolving Majesco Entertainment’s channel marketing strategy. Specific responsibilities include:

Sales/ Retail Planning and Support

 Develop relationships with marketing groups at our top 5 retailers. Maximize our channel marketing programs.
 Increase market share with our top 5 retailers by creating customer marketing programs with core franchises and key releases.
 Visit our top 5 retail accounts in conjunction with Sales visits to maximize relationships and opportunities.
 Create and present innovative promotional programs to retail and dot com accounts to generate additional sell in/sell through.
 Work with all members of the Sales, Product Development and Marketing Team to collaborate, share and learn as a cohesive team that supports the companies goals and objectives
 Educate the Marketing organization to key customers’ requirements including timelines, merchandising, pricing, and promotional strategies
 Ensure the identification of market trends/best practices and develop recommendations to enhance the organization’s position at retail
 Monitor competitive product, promotions, market conditions and retail trends in the industry
 Manage, coordinate and attend/participate in tradeshows and sales meetings

Innovation/Business Development

 Lead the team direction in idea generation to create and execute innovative channel programs that meet the marketing strategies of our top 5 accounts.
 Cultivate programs/POP/promotions that can be utilized globally to enhance our products world wide.
 Work to integrate possible cross category retail promotions with licensors (Fox, etc…)

Operational/Financial Responsibilities

 Manage all aspects of the channel marketing programs as well as associated budgets for assigned accounts. Work closely with Operations to ensure costing and timing are accurate, and demonstrate realistic deliverables.
 Oversee production of in-store POP materials, including retail signage, special offers on packaging and displays.
 Manage budgets and resources to ensure maximum efficiencies
 Monitor account by account spending and provide analysis of channel budget on a national basis

Qualifications/Education
 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
 Located in greater NY/NJ office to work out of Corporate HQ preferred
 Minimum 4 years’ experience in consumer products, channel marketing and/or sales experience required
 Experience with the gaming or entertainment industry preferred
 Experience creating short-term and long-term strategic plans for retail a plus
 Budget management experience needed
 Excellent writing, organizational and presentation skills required
